How do you pick the right replacement blade?
Match the blade to the handle first. A #11 pointed blade fits standard X-Acto-style hobby knives and is the workhorse for paper, card stock, and model kits; a #10 or #15 curved scalpel blade (Swann-Morton fit) handles vinyl, stencils, and intricate detail. Snap-off refills come in 9mm for light trimming and 18mm for foam board and leather. Rotary blades are sold by diameter: 28mm for tight curves, 45mm for general quilting and fabric, 60mm for long straight cuts and multiple layers. Carbon steel takes the keenest edge but rusts if stored damp; stainless resists corrosion and suits humid studios. Most listings ship packs of 5, 10, or 100, and many makers add a sharps-safe container or blade bank. Expect $4-$15 for hobby and scalpel multipacks, $8-$25 for rotary refills. Many makers ship in 3-7 business days; bulk or assorted bundles can run 1-2 weeks.
Use the filters for blade type, fitment, steel, and pack size, then check related searches to match your exact handle or cutter brand.
