Mixed Media & Collage Art, Handmade

Mixed media and collage art combines two or more materials in one piece: torn paper and acrylic over canvas, vintage ephemera under resin, fabric stitched into board, or tile and glass set as mosaic. Because each layer is built by hand, no two are identical, so check the listing for exact dimensions, depth, and whether it arrives framed, on stretched canvas, or unmounted for your own framer. Small 5x7 to 8x10 paper collages often run $20-$80; larger canvas and assemblage work with texture mediums, gold leaf, or found objects climbs toward $150-$600. Watch for the substrate (cradled wood panel holds heavy texture better than thin canvas), a sealed or varnished surface, and sawtooth or wire hangers already attached. Many makers ship ready-to-hang originals in 3-7 business days; commissioned or personalized pieces built around your photos, map, or color story usually take 1-3 weeks. Ask about lightfast inks and UV-protective finishes if it will hang in bright light.
